At A New Leaf – Home & Life Organising, we believe in clear communication and transparent practices. These terms and conditions are designed to ensure a smooth and successful experience for everyone. Please take a moment to review them.

Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by A New Leaf – Home & Life Organising. By accepting a quotation or booking our services, you agree to the following terms.

Quotes & Bookings

Following your consultation, we will provide a personalised quote based on the services, requirements and scope of work discussed.

Your booking is confirmed once you have accepted your quote and paid the required 50% booking deposit.

Any additional work or services outside your accepted quote will be discussed with you before additional charges are incurred.

Booking Deposit

A 50% booking deposit, calculated from the total quoted price, is required upon acceptance of your quote and before any work begins.

The deposit will be credited to your invoice and is not an additional charge on top of your quoted service price.

Pricing & GST

All advertised prices and quoted prices are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.

Our rates include travel and fuel within our standard service area, professional planning and preparation, personalised hands-on support, and reasonable rubbish and recycling disposal costs associated with your booking.

Additional costs may apply for significant rubbish volumes, tip fees, specialist disposal, additional disposal trips, products or materials outside the agreed service. Wherever possible, these costs will be discussed and agreed with you beforehand.

Payments

Invoices must be paid by the due date stated on the invoice.

Your 50% booking deposit will be credited to your invoice, with the remaining balance payable by the due date stated on the invoice.

Any additional hours, materials, products, disposal costs or services approved during your project may be added to the applicable invoice.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your booking, please contact us as early as possible.

If you cancel or reschedule a confirmed booking, any refund, credit or transfer of your booking deposit will be handled in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and your rights under applicable New Zealand law.

If A New Leaf needs to cancel your booking, we will contact you as soon as possible and arrange an alternative date or an appropriate refund where required.

Additional Hours & Services

Every organising project is different, and occasionally more time may be required than originally anticipated.

If additional hours or services are recommended, we will discuss these with you before proceeding. You will never be obligated to approve additional work.

Approved additional time will be charged at the applicable agreed hourly rate.

Your Belongings

We understand that the belongings within your home can have significant financial, personal and sentimental value.

We recommend securing cash, jewellery, important documents, highly valuable items and irreplaceable belongings before your appointment.

Final decisions regarding what to keep, donate, recycle or dispose of remain with you.

A New Leaf will take reasonable care when handling your belongings and will not intentionally dispose of, donate, sell or permanently remove your belongings without your authorisation.

Rubbish, Recycling & Donations

Reasonable rubbish and recycling disposal associated with your booking is included where applicable.

Additional charges may apply for large quantities of rubbish, tip fees, oversized items, specialist or hazardous waste, or additional disposal trips.

Where additional costs are required, we will discuss these with you before proceeding wherever reasonably possible.

Cleaning

Where light cleaning is included as part of an organising service or package, it is intended to complement the organisation of your space.

A New Leaf does not provide specialist cleaning services and may decline work involving hazardous materials, bodily fluids, significant mould, pest infestations or other circumstances requiring specialist treatment.

Health & Safety

The safety of our clients and team is important.

Please advise us of any known hazards or circumstances that may affect the safe completion of your service. A New Leaf reserves the right to stop, postpone or decline work where conditions present an unreasonable health or safety risk.

Pets may need to be appropriately secured where necessary to allow work to be completed safely.

Damage & Valuable Items

We take reasonable care when working within your home or business.

Please let us know about any particularly fragile, valuable, sentimental or irreplaceable items before work begins.

If accidental damage occurs, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assess the circumstances and work towards an appropriate resolution.

Photography & Marketing

Photography is entirely optional.

Where you have provided consent, A New Leaf may take before-and-after photographs of organised spaces for use on our website, social media, advertising, flyers, brochures, portfolios and other promotional materials.

We will take reasonable steps to avoid displaying sensitive personal information or identifying details, including, but not limited to, individual names and locations.

Declining photography consent will not affect your service, pricing or quotation.

Privacy & Confidentiality

We recognise the trust involved in inviting us into your home or workspace.

Personal information obtained through consultations, bookings and services will be handled with care and used only as reasonably necessary to provide and administer our services, maintain appropriate business records, communicate with you, or where otherwise permitted or required by law.

Information encountered while working within your home or workspace will be treated with professionalism, discretion and respect.

Access to Your Property

Clients are responsible for providing reasonable and safe access to the areas included in their booking.

Please advise us beforehand of any access instructions, parking restrictions, security systems or other information we may need to know.

Organising & Storage Products

If storage containers, labels, filing products or other organising materials are recommended for your project, we will discuss these with you.

Products purchased specifically for your project may incur an additional cost unless they are expressly included in your quote. Significant purchases will not be made on your behalf without your approval.

Project Results & Timeframes

Every home and project is unique.

The amount that can be completed within a booking will depend on factors including the size of the space, volume of belongings, condition of the area, accessibility and the time required for client decision-making.

While we will always work efficiently and professionally, specific results within a particular number of hours cannot always be guaranteed.

Your Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies you may have under applicable New Zealand law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Fair Trading Act 1986 and Privacy Act 2020, where those rights cannot lawfully be excluded.

Your experience with A New Leaf is important to us.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your service, please contact us as soon as possible so we can discuss the matter and work towards a fair and reasonable resolution.
